I hate clutter. We live in a very materialistic world that
teaches us that our worth is linked to the amount of things we have. Don’t
get me wrong there is nothing wrong with enjoying products that are on the
market; however, I think many of us purchase and keep things we do not need
because we feel pressured too.
I am currently doing a deep clean and declutter of my life.
Lately I have been feeling really overwhelmed and I have discovered it is
because I am surrounded by things I do not need. I want to be surrounded by
things that add value to my live, not things that sit around and collect
dust.
I challenge and encourage each of you to go through a room,
an area, or just a drawer and if you have not touched it in the past 6 months
get rid of it. I feel so much better when I get all of the clutter out of my
life and I think you will be too.
A lot of us focus on the physical clutter and we often
forget that digital clutter is just as bad as physical clutter. Go through your
email, your computer, flash drives, etc. and get rid of files you don’t need or corrupt
files you kept just in case. Take the time to declutter your life and get ready
for the New Year today.
