Setting Yourself up for Success in 2019

2018 has come to an end. I am sure for a lot of you there where highs and lows throughout the year. As I reflect back on 2018 I cannot help but feel extremely grateful. This past year was a roller coaster of emotions for me but I learned from everything I went through.

I was pushed to my breaking point and worked harder than I thought was even possible. I learned a lot about myself and what I want out of life. I discovered that putting myself first and going after what you want is never selfish. I learned that achieving your goals does not happen by accident: it takes hard work, determination, and planning. And often your goals will take longer than you think, don’t get discouraged. Beauty is more than skin deep. It is important to surround yourself with people who push you, want the best for you, and make you happy. Honesty is always the best policy, no matter how difficult it is. Blood is not always thicker than water. No one has the right to make you feel like you are less than, do not except or allow this behavior. You have to cut toxic people out of your life, it is extremely difficult but it needs to be done even if it is family. So many people say that life is short but it is so long, learn to invest your time wisely. That being said nothing is a waste of time if it makes you happy. Patience’s is a virtue. Never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Always be authentic.

Like I said I learned a lot this year and I hope I continue to grow in 2019. I am ready to hit the ground running this year and make my goals happen. I have started to map and plan out my 2019 and what I want to achieve. We are not even ten days into the new year and I already feel like I have made a lot of progress in the areas and goals that I have set for this year. I have come up with goals in all the major parts of my life: financial, career, personal. Home life, fitness, and education goals. I have written down my goals and the steps it will take to achieve them so I have something tangible to keep me on track.

Set yourself up for success this year. I know it can be discouraging at times but do not give up on your goals. Whenever your feel discouraged take a step back and figure out what you need to do in order to get back on track and feel good about yourself.

I hope 2019 is off to a good start for you! Keep working toward your goals and make it happen!
