Creating art is a very personal experience. A lot of times when you are creating a piece you making yourself vulnerable by putting what you see in your mind down on paper for other people to see. When you are creating something so personal it is natural to wonder how people might perceive your work. Unfortunately, in doing so you might change your original vision so your piece is more widely accepted by on lookers.
Stop worrying about what other people think of your work. At the end of the day it is just like Rachel Hollis said, “other people’s opinion of you is none of your business.” Create what you envisioned no matter how you think it will be perceived. Create something for the sole reason that you find enjoyment and feel accomplished.
Creating something from nothing is such a rewarding experience and can be extremely therapeutic so do not let other people make you feel self-conscious about what you have envisioned. Your art will influence the art other people create. Make sure what they are looking at is the truest form of your art work.
